Bhubaneswar: Eminem in his song Spacebound has sang, “Just promise me you’ll think of me, Every time you look up in the sky and see a star.” The Grammy winner in the song beseeches his lover to promise to never let him go.
The city youth who are engrossed in the romantic February week will be celebrating Promise Day as a part of the ongoing Valentines week February 11.
Orissa POST interacted with a few of the city youth who were busy finding fancy promise day cards, flowers and gift items for their boyfriend/girlfriend.
Mallika Amanat said, ‘”It’s a mad rush and everyone is trying to find the right kind of promise that their partner will vow to. I have penned down an English poem for my boyfriend as well and hope that he likes it.”
Sheela Avanti, a professional card writer, has been quite busy since the romantic week has kicked off. Sheela who stays at Sailshree Vihar here is leaving no stone unturned to give her cards the perfect words.
“Isn’t this crazy? You have to write words to express someone else’s feelings to his/her loved ones,” she chuckled.
