Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao Friday decided to cancel his birthday celebrations in the wake of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief stated that as the entire nation is in a state of mourning, he desired to cancel all celebrations on account of his birthday falling Sunday.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, appealed to the party leaders and workers not to celebrate the event in any form.
In a statement, he condemned Thursday’s terrorist attack on CRPF Jawans in Pulwama district. He stated that he is extremely moved by the grave loss of lives in the ghastly incident.
The Chief Minister conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved martyrs’ family members and wished speedy recovery of the injured.
