Mumbai: Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Kesari’ trailer has been released. In the 3.04-minute trailer, Akshay Kumar is seen playing Havildar Ishar Singh, a Sikh soldier who fought the Battle of Saragarhi.
The film also features Parineeti Chopra. In the fight, 21 Sikhs, who were part of British Indian Army, fought valiantly against 10,000 Afghan Orakzai Tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province in 1897.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in the lead in the role of Ihsar Singh in the film. 12 September 1897, in the leadership of Havildar Ishar Singh, the Sikh Regiment had fought for ten hours with the troops of the Afghani army in Saragarhi (North Western Frontier Province).
The regiment knew that the fight was not easy because the number of soldiers was very high, but still they remained in the ground and did not give up till the end.

The trailer begins with Akshay Kumar’s voice over claiming that the war is about to begin. Akshay Kumar’s character is enough to give Goosebumps when he screams the most popular dialogue from the film “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari.”
Notably, poster of the film was released September 12, 2018, on Saragarhi Day.
