BHUBANESWAR: Flash mob, workshops, talk shows and cultural programmes marked the second day of ‘She Rocks’, an entrepreneur fair, at Esplande One here Saturday.
The flash mob by students from KIIT enthralled one and all present on the occasion. It was followed by a workshop on self defense by gold medalist Mahesweta Sarangi. It drew a huge crowd of girls to the event.
Later, the evening witnessed a talk show to motivate women to be successful entrepreneurs. The show was titled ‘Study to Money – Journey Plan’. The cast and crew of newly released Odia movie ‘Champion’ including Archita Sahu and Manoj Mishra were the star attraction of the evening.
Speaking on the occasion Actress Archita said, “Champion is based on change in a girl’s life and her journey to become a champion in Boxing. Kabbadi, Lawn Tennis and Boxing champion P Dipti Rani, who has represented India, is one of the producers of the movie. Every house has a champion. However, they do not get the required exposure.”
She talked about the challenges involved in the release of the movie and the hard work that went behind it. Young sensation Pragyan sang a romantic number from the movie ‘Hai re Allah’. The audience sang in sync to the artiste. Divyajyoti Ashram’s children joined the star on stage to celebrate the movie. Besides, the ladies working in the mall were also called on stage to receive a standing ovation for their hard work to keep the mall clean and inviting.
The fair also hosted Rojalin Patasani, Head of Parichay Foundation, Adi Rani Tribal competition head Chidatmika Khatua, Mala Mishra, trustee of Delhi Public School, Shraddhanjali Nayak director, PR, KIIT, Chaitali Mishra of Saathi and banker Jayanti Mohapatra.
Speaking on the occasion Rojalin Patasani said, “The real joy of freedom comes when you achieve goals through your own hard work and struggles.” Despite being the daughter of MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani and wife of MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, she struggled for 12 years to establish Parichay Foundation, a group that empowers and works for the betterment of women. Mala Mishra also inspired entrepreneurial aspirants with her success story.
Later, a workshop on ‘Health is Wealth – Women Health and Work Balance’ by Doctor GSS Mohapatra of AMRI hospital who emphasised on daily routine care for every single women across the globe. A very realistic programme on ‘Social Awareness – Acid Attacks and Aftermaths’ by Nivedita Satpathy of WCSM, an NGO and Vice Chairperson of Divyajyoti Ashram.
Last but not the least, a talk show ‘Away from main stream – women entrepreneur’ witnessed renowned anchors Sulgana Rautray, Lipsha, Mun Mun and Pinki talking on the growth of market and women. The talk show also discussed on ‘Ollywood beyond all odds’ where actors shared their experiences.
The management team of Esplanade One drew a rousing reception from guests and audience for the successful completion of the second day of ‘She Rocks’. The evening ended on a high note with Odissi dance and classical songs organised by Indian Dance Academy.
