Bhubaneswar: The BJP Thursday launched its music video CD campaign for the upcoming elections at the party office here. Several senior leaders of the party released campaign materials, including posters and music CDs, to be distributed among voters.
Present among others at the event are: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP national vice-president Baijayant Panda, the party’s Odisha in-charge Arun Singh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, state BJP vice-president Sameer Mohanty, Damodar Rout and party’s state unit spokesperson Golak Mohapatra and Bijoy Mohapatra.
The music video shows how Odia people have suffered during 19 years of BJD rule. The artistes in the video showcase the rationale for changing the government in the upcoming Assembly elections.
On the occasion, ‘Badhu Nuhen Mu Bandhu’ fame actor Bidusmita Dash Mantry joined the BJP at the party’s state headquarters here.
The saffron party boasts of a galaxy of Odia cine actors like Mihir Das, Mahasweta Ray, Aparajita Mohanty, Pinki Pradhan, Pintu Nanda and Sritam Das and Anu Choudhury.
A van was also flagged off which will travel across the state and convey to the voters about BJP government’s plans and promises for the upcoming polls. The van is expected to cover almost all the villages of Odisha ahead of the elections.
