Kangana Ranaut does not feel shy about opening up and revealing the behind-the-scenes activities that go on in the Hindi film industry. During an event recently, the ‘Manikarnika’ star revealed a story during her early days in the industry in which she was asked to wear a robe without undergarments for a film titled I ‘love You’ which was directed by Pahlaj Nihalani.
Kangana said, ‘I just had a sheer satin robe to wear and pose as a show girl. I had to stick my leg out of darkness. It was a photoshoot.”
At that time a newcomer to the industry, Kangana could not do the shoot as she felt awkward. She has revealed that she ran away from the shoot and later she changed her phone number. “My parents had warned me that I would have to face such a situation,” she has said.
Kangana, who was auditioning for other roles simultaneously, got selected for Anurag Basu’s 2006 film ‘Gangster’ and Puri Jagannadh’s Telugu film ‘Pokiri’, alongside Mahesh Babu. But she choose ‘Gangster’ and made a name for herself with her debut. The film was a huge success.
Kangana was last seen in Rani Lakshmi Bai’s biopic ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Her upcoming projects include ‘Mental Hai Kya?’, ‘Panga’ and Jayalalitha’s biopic which is yet to be titled.
