Baripada: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has replaced two of its MLA nominees in Mayurbhanj district Friday. This was stated by JMM chief Shibu Soren in a press statement.
The JMM has replaced its nominee Sundarmohan Singh with Fagu Hansdah in Bangiriposi Assembly seat while Ramchandra Murmu was fielded for Rairangpur seat instead of Sunaram Tudu.
After announcements of names of nominees for a Lok Sabha and five Assembly seats, the party’s district unit chief Fagu Hansdah had expressed displeasure over the nomination Wednesday.
He had demanded that the party reconsidered the candidatures. He was called to Jharkhand to meet the JMM central leaders.
In 2014, Fagu Hansdah had unsuccessfully contested from the Baripada Assembly segment.
There was a report about the Congress-JMM seat sharing for the upcoming polls, but no final decision was taken as yet.
The Congress is yet to announce the name of its nominee for the Loka Saha seat. It has named nominees for the Baripada, Jashipur and Udala Assembly seats.
