Balasore: Acting on a tip-off, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Soro railway station in Balasore district Saturday intercepted a consignment of diamonds and arrested two in this connection.
The accused have been identified as Charan Mohanty and Babula Rana.
According to sources, they were illegally transporting the diamonds to neighbouring West Bengal.
The police have seized the diamonds and both accused have been charged under relevant sections of the IPC. Further probe into the matter is underway.
