Sundargarh: A man hacked his younger brother to death over a family dispute at Barakani village under Bandhamunda police limits in Sundargarh district Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Soma Ekka and the accused as Koka Ekka.
According to sources, the siblings went into an altercation over buying chicken Saturday evening. Koka lost his cool and attacked Soma with a sharp weapon following which he died on the spot.
After committing the crime, Koka fled the spot.
Later, on being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body. “A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the culprit,” a police source said.
