Berhampur: A newly-wed man was killed allegedly by his cousin in Aladi village under Jagannath Prasad police limits of Ganjam district Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Nilabandhu Sahu.
Property dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder.
According to sources, his cousin waylaid him while Nilabandhu was going for a bath to the river and attacked him with a sharp weapon. The attack resulted in his death on the spot.
After getting to know about the incident, the victim’s family members intimated the police who reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.
They have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
