Tegucigalpa: Gunmen have opened fire at a funeral in Honduras, killing four members of the same family in city of San Pedro Sula, police said. The victims Tuesday were burying Marlon David Portillo, 27, the son of an alleged drug dealer known as the “Black Cat”, Xinhua reported.
The father was killed in 2010 in Tegucigalpa, along with six bodyguards. His son was killed on Sunday in San Pedro Sula.
Police said at least eight armed men opened fire on an SUV at the local cemetery, killing two men and two women, all members of the Portillo family. Three of them were cousins of the son.
Police closed streets in the city as they searched for the killers, who eyewitnesses said were dressed in military uniforms.
