India and Pakistan share an extremely prickly relationship since 1947. The two neighbours have been at loggerheads over many different issues, at the core of which lies the region of Kashmir.
But there are a few Indians who achieved the impossible by finding love in Pakistan.
Ranvir Kapoor- Mahira Khan
It has been rumoured that Mahira Khan, the renowned Pakistani actress dated Hindi film superstar Ranbir Kapoor after the latter’s break-up with Katrina Kaif. The couple have been spotted together many times.
Salman Khan- Somy Ali
Actor Salman Khan dated Somy, who was from Pakistan, after breaking-up with Sangeeta Bijlani in 1997. The duo were in a serious relationship, but Salman fell in love with the emerging star, Aishwarya Rai. Somy, upon knowing about the duo’s closeness, broke up with Salman and left for the US.
Ashmit Patel-Veena Malik
The season-4 contestant of ‘Bigg Boss’, Ashmit Patel, was in a relationship with Pakistani actress Veena Malik that created a lot of buzz. The duo broke up in 2011, apparently because it was a one-way affair from Veena’s side.
Sania Mirza- Shoaib Malik
Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik married Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza in 2010. Both of them have continued representing their respective countries in their sport.
Imtiaz Ali-Iman Ali
Director Imtiaz Ali, known for films such as ‘Highway’ and ‘Rockstar’, had previously separated from his wife Preety in 2012. He was soon attracted towards Pakistani model and actress Iman Ali, who was last seen in Shoaib Mansoor’s film ‘Bol’ in 2011.
