Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday announced to launch ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative that aims at bringing accountability, transparency and responsiveness to governance.
Addressing the gathering on 73rd Independence Day at Exhibition Ground of Bhubaneswar, Patnaik said the program would be launched October 2 Gandhi Jayanti. In the first phase, it would cover all police stations and district headquarters hospitals.
Rest of the departments will execute the programme by March 5, 2020 — the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, the incumbent CM said.
Besides, Naveen said that he would make telephonic calls to people to know the response they have received at police stations and the quality of services they received at hospitals. Also, ministers of his government will check with people to learn about their experience at government offices to ensure proper implementation of Naveen’s 5T mantra that focuses on transparency, teamwork, technology, time and transformation.
“The focus of the State government’s programmes is common public. We are working towards ensuring that people earn their rights with the help of 5T,” Naveen said.
Further, Patnaik announced that electricity connection will be provided to villagers within 48 hours of submission of application at concerned panchayat offices.
