As far as rags to riches stories go, Ranu Mondal’s journey from singing at a West Bengal railway station to performing in the studio with Himesh Reshammiya ranks pretty high on the list.
Ranu became an overnight sensation after her rendition of Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma’ went viral on social media. The talented singer has come a long way from singing at Ranaghat station in Bengal.
Several reports surfaced on the internet recently claiming that actor Salman Khan, impressed by her musical talent, gifted Ranu a house worth Rs 55 lakh.
The actor reportedly also wants to rope in Ranu for a song for his upcoming film ‘Dabangg 3’.
However, several media reports have poured water over this supposed gesture by stating that there is not an ounce of truth to rumours of Salman offering Ranu a house or wanting her to sing a song for his film.
“There is no truth in this piece of news. Salman has neither bought a house for the lady nor there is any discussion about the song,” a source close to Salman said.
Ranu recently concluded studio recordings for a song titled ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ at Himesh Reshammiya’s studio for his forthcoming movie ‘Happy, Hardy and Heer’.
“Recorded teri meri kahani my new song from happy hardy and heer with the very talented Ranu Mondal who has a divine voice,” wrote Himesh sharing a video from the studio on his social media account.
“All your our dreams can come true if we have the courage to peruse them, a positive attitude can really make dreams come true, thanks for all your love and support,” Himesh added.
