Mumbai: The Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ which hit the screens August 30 has so far collected Rs 190 crore across all languages in India at the box office. Film trade analysts have said that the all India opening weekend collection of ‘Saaho’ is higher than Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s ‘2.0’. The latter had earned Rs 155 crore on its opening weekend.
However, ‘Saaho’ has had a mixed response in spite of its bright opening. Hence there is a chance that collection may take a dip in the coming days.
Prabhas has come back to the big screen after ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ which was a huge hit. So expectations on ‘Saaho’ were high. But then the film has evoked mixed response.
In spite of that the worldwide box office collection of ‘Saaho’ is close to Rs 300 crore out of which Rs 79.08 crore has come from the Hindi version.
‘Saaho’, the high-budgeted film has been made at a cost of nearly Rs 350 crore. Hence it is the most expensive film to be produced in India. Helmed by Telugu filmmaker Sujeeth, ‘Saaho’ also features Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay and Murali Sharma. The film has been shot in three languages, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
