BHUBANESWAR: Puja enthusiasts enjoyed a field day at the inaugural night of a sale event ‘Melange’ at a hotel here Monday.
Organised as a lifestyle exhibition, the expo housed 45 stalls which featured diverse products related to lifestyle, fashion, food and home décor among others.
Multiple fashion jewellery houses Rishabh fashion, Jaipur Jewellery, S Mehera Jewellers and Karishma Jewellery were the main attraction of the glitzy event.
Women buyers queued up to procure all the necessities for the upcoming festivities. From Jhumakas to Bahubali varieties, Kan Pasa to studs, the expo had something in store for one and all.
Apart from jewellery products, colourful chiffons were also on sale at the event. Designer sarees, Kantha stich, Baluchari, Tant and Bengali variants were especially liked by the visitors.
The event was an amalgamation of tradition and modernity as it featured both fancy designer sarees from Jaipur as well as Rajdhani drapes from Kolkata.
A handbag stall titled ‘Pop Up Studio’ exhibited vanity bags of diverse colours, designs and prices. Shewta Alankar Srivastav, an avid shopper at Melange, said, “It’s not shops in the city offer products of inferior quality. However, the products on offer here are a class apart. It features latest trends from various fashion shows. There is nothing wrong in wearing such an inspired collection.”
Kids who accompanied their parents to the event also had a great time at Gelhi’s Cakes and Bakes, Ganesh Supari and similar stalls. Varieties of healthy Khahkra, Namkeens, chocolates and mouth fresheners were on sale.
The first day of the expo witnessed a footfall of around 3000. The expo is scheduled to end today.
