Bhubaneswar: The state government has floated tenders to auction 10 more mining blocks in accordance with the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015.
The Directorate of Mines has invited tenders for electronic auction (e-auction) of five blocks of iron ore, three blocks of iron ore and manganese (associate minerals that co-occur) and two manganese ore blocks for grant of mining lease.
The five iron ore blocks which have been put for auction are: Gorumahisani, Badampahar, Jajang, Nadidih (Bico) and Balda. The Katasahi and Kanther-Koira manganese blocks will also go under the hammer.
Similarly, the government has put Nadidih (fee grade), Teherai and Kolmong iron ore & manganese blocks for auction.
Last date for purchase of tender documents after payment of a tender fee of Rs 5 lakh on website of e-auction platform provider is November 22, 2019 and the last date for submission of the bid is November 28, 2019.
Interested and eligible bidders can register themselves on the above website. On successful registration, eligible bidders will obtain login ID and password necessary for participation in the e-auction process.
It is worth mentioning here that tenders were floated for auctioning of 10 mineral blocks including Nuagaon iron ore mine October 4.
