Chocolate bars worth just Rs 100 to Rs 200 are considered to be very expensive in Indian standards. Then there’s one particular brand of chocolate that costs in excess of Rs 4 lakhs.
Surprised? Well, it’s absolutely true. India’s ITC Limited has come up with the world’s most expensive chocolate.
The name of this chocolate is Trinity- Truffles Extraordinaire and it costs an astonishing Rs 4.3 lakh per kilogram.
ITC’s luxury chocolate brand Fabelle Exquisite Chocolates has introduced its limited edition range chocolate which entered into Guinness World Records to become the world’s most expensive chocolate.
The chocolate is available in three variants. One variant contains toasted coconut ganache infused with Tahitian vanilla beans. The second variant is a blend of Ghana dark chocolate and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. The last variant includes St Dominique dark chocolate sourced from the ‘extreme west’.
This chocolate is made by famous chef Philippe Conticini of France. He is the co-founder and head pastry chef of Pastry of Dreams.
This chocolate will be sold in a handmade wooden box containing 15 truffles and weigh 15 grams each. The made-to-order box will be available at Rs 1 lakh inclusive all taxes.
