Rayagada, August 13: On the second day of eighth phase CBI probe into the murder of Itishree Pradhan, a sikhya sahayika of Tikiri UP school, the sleuths managed to get hold of four CDs containing media footage following her killing.
The footages were shown by four media houses after the incident. The officials had to wait for about a month to get the CDs from the court of the district and sessions judge.
According to sources, CBI inspector DB Mitrawala Thursday visited the court thrice and had a long talk with the judge Janab Mohammad Ajmal. The judge handed over the CDs on certain conditions. Court sources said, the investigating agency would neither edit or copy the CDs. They would hand over the CDs to the court without tampering it, sources added.
On the other hand, CBI DIG L Manoj Kumar and DSP MK Pathak arrived in Rayagada Wednesday night. Thursday morning, they visited the site of the incident and held discussions with officials of Tikiri police station. The sleuths also visited the community health centre at Tikiri and talked to the hospital staff who were present at that time.
Though the DIG and DSP interrogated some persons at the inspection bungalow of the revenue department, details were not divulged.
It was learnt that a forensic team of the Central investigating agency would reach the town soon.
