Bhubaneswar: The untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has left a mental scar in numerous people across the country. Condolences and tributes have been pouring in ever since the unfortunate incident. Now, several fans from the state have come forward to salute the late actor musically.
Popular Odia singer Swayam Pravash Padhi paid tribute to the actor by singing Khairiyat from his movie Chhichhore. Pravash said that he had never imagined what transpired. “We all miss you. Here comes the soulful number Khairiyat Unplugged Cover from the movie Chhichhore. This is a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput. A beautiful song that will make you revisit your love from college,” he said. The song was originally sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. The video has garnered more than 1lakh views till now.
On similar lines, Antara Chakrabarty, another popular singer from the state, sang Kal Ki Hi Bat Hai from Chhichhore originally sung by KK. She, “It has been a week now but I still cannot accept the fact that he is no more with us. I never saw him in person, but don’t know why this felt like a personal loss. Even while singing, my voice choked. He probably deserved to be in a better place. Keep smiling wherever you are. You will always be missed by your fans,” she said.
Another local singer Mousumi Nayak also paid tribute to the actor with rendition of song Qaafirana from the movie Kedarnath. She said, “We are all saddened by this news. He was truly a gem. The extremely talented and versatile actor went too soon. Thanks for all the movies and memories. You will stay in our hearts forever. The song was originally sung by Arijit Singh and Nikhita and composed by Amit Trivedi.
Earlier in a shocking development, a 55-year-old fan reportedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan of the office room in Cuttack. The dejected fan identified as Niranjan Rout of Jagatsingpur district, was living in Mahanadivihar area in Cuttack.
