Bhubaneswar: Odisha Saturday reported 591 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally in the state to 16,701.
The Health and Family Welfare Department reported three ore deaths due to COVID-19.

1. A 63-year old Male of Ganjam district.
2. A 60-year old Male of Ganjam district.
3. A 48-year old female of Gajapati district who was also suffering from obesity and sleep apnea.

Out of the 591 new cases, 394 were reported from quarantine centres while 197 are local contacts.
District wise breakdown: Angul reported one solitary case, Balasore 13, Bargarh 35, Bhadrak three, Bolangir nine, Boudh five, Cuttack 38, Deogarh three, Dhenkanal nine, Ganjam 182, Jagatsinghpur 22, Jajpur 19, Jharsuguda five, eight, Keonjhar six, Khurda 121, Koraput four, Malkangiri eight, Mayurbhanj 22, Nabarangpur 22, Nayagarh 11, Puri six, Rayagada one, Sambalpur 20 and Sundrgarh 18.
The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 5,259.
