Sambalpur, Oct 11: Scores of students Sunday alleged that question papers of examinations for inspectors of cooperative societies (ICS) were leaked before the examination was conducted.
The incident has triggered tension among the students, who have demanded a high level probe and action against those responsible for it.
The students have further demanded to scrap the examinations.
Talking to the mediapersons, the students said examination for ICS was conducted by Orissa Staff Selection Commission. Candidates from various parts of the state appeared for the examination from Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science at Dhankuada, Budharaja High School, Mahila Colege, Sri Arabinda Purnaga Sikhya Kendra and Madanabati School, which were the examination centres.
Suraj Nayak of Laderpalli, Swagatika Pradhan of Debgarh, Surjit Bhoi of Katapali in Bargarh, Manas Ranjan Sabat of Chuhanpalli under Melechhmunda police station, alleged that question papers were leaked before examination at Ver Surendra Sai Institute of Science and Budharaja High School.
Besides, some teachers were seen telling answers to some of the candidates at Veer Surendra Sai centre during the examination. The students claimed that they recorded the incident on their cellular phones.
Notably, Veer Surendra Sai centre was allotted for 300 candidates, but only 134 appeared for the examination.
However, centre superintendent of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Science, Aswini Kumar Sahu dismissed the allegation of question paper leak terming it as baseless. “No teachers have called out answers to any of the candidates. Action or investigation will be initiated into the matter only after a written complaint is lodged with us,” he added.
