It should be stated here that Sourav and Sachin were one of the most feared ODI opening combinations. The two put up 21 century partnerships opening the innings for India and facilitated a large number of wins.
Gayle’s confession
Agarwal also had a nice time hosting Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Chris Gayle. The West Indies opener during that episode opened up about an IPL game between the Kings XI Punjab and the SunRisers Hyderabad. In that match, Gayle went after Afghanistan Rashid Khan and smashed the leg-spinner for four maximums in an over.
Gayle, during the chat with Agarwal, revealed that he doesn’t like a spinner coming in and start staring at him.
Hope for IPL
It should be stated here that there is hope that IPL-13 which was postponed due to the pandemic coronavirus, finally may happen. The decision to postpone the T20 World Cup was taken Tuesday by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It has opened up the September-November window for the BCCI to organise the IPL. As things stand there is every possibility that IPL-13 will be played in the UAE. The BCCI has already sought the government’s permission on the matter and is waiting for its reply.
