New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Friday claimed that the inclusive economic policy of the Narendra Modi government at the centre has strengthened the financial status of people in the country including in Odisha.
The Union minister claimed that the beneficiaries of 65 central schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Ujjala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana in Odisha have received a total of Rs 60,865 crore in their bank accounts through the DBT mode.
“The DBT mode has helped the government as well as the beneficiaries in Odisha. The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to bringing all households in the country into the banking fold,” Pardhan said in a tweet while highlighting the inclusive economic policy of the Centre.
Till August this year, around 40 crore people in the country have availed government assistance and other benefits through Jan Dhan Yojana, the biggest financial inclusion programme of the world, the minister said. “Around 1.5 crore people of 74 lakh families in Odisha have benefitted from the Jan Dhan Yojana,” Pradhan said.
The petroleum minister said the Mudra scheme of the centre has strengthened micro and small scale industries in the country. “Around 41 lakh people in Odisha have improved their financial condition by availing loans from the Mudra Yojana,” he added.
Pradhan also praised the Stand-Up India scheme of the Union government. “Stand-Up India scheme has fulfilled the dreams of around 2,500 budding entrepreneurs in Odisha. This scheme has helped create entrepreneurship among women,” he said.
The Prime Minister has tried his best to improve the financial status of people by providing them with banking facility, financial assistance, loan facility and insurance cover. “The inclusive economic policy of the Centre has become a reality for 130 crore people of India. The economic policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended social security cover to the poor and improved the living standards of the middle class people,” Pradhan said.
The petroleum minister also claimed that the able leadership of PM Narendra Modi has brought a massive change to the Indian economy.
