Chhatrapur: People can have access all government offices across Ganjam district from September 1. This information was given by Parul Patwari special ADM (Chhatrapur) during an interaction with the media here Friday.
Government offices have been inaccessible for the public for some time now after Ganjam district became a COVID-19 hotspot. However, due to the effective management of the COVID-19 crisis, the district is on the path of recovery.
Patwari also informed that there are 15 mini- containment zones in the urban area and 30 in rural areas. It means Chhatrapur sub-division has 45 mini-containment zones.
Out of 951 villages under this sub-division, 771 are in green zone. Similarly, 96 wards out of 136 wards are also in green zone. With regards to plasma collection, the special ADM informed that 114 recovered patients have agreed to donate plasma.
Ganjam district reported Friday 174 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the total tally to 17,287. So far 15,462 patients have recovered from the disease and 1,632 are still undergoing treatment at COVID hospital.
With fresh two death reported from the district Friday, the toll has gone up to 185. Eight patients have died due to reason other than coronavirus.
