Puri: The coronavirus pandemic has dealt a crippling blow to the Odisha travel and tourism. For this to give a boost to the tourism sector in the state, the Odisha Government had decided to organise a second ‘Eco Retreat Festival’ near Kushabhadra Mouth at Ramchandi beach in the district.
The festival will start from December 1.
Tourism Department Director Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav and Puri Collector Balwant Singh have taken the duty of reviewing the preparations for the three-month long festival.
The Eco Retreat promises to be a unique experience of night stay in 50 luxury cottages with thematic ambience, hospitality of a five star hotel and a full-fledged corporate conferencing facility to accommodate the participants.

On the other hand following the state and central governments rule tourists from outside the state will not be allowed to take part in the event this year due to the Covid-19 norms in place.
The retreat offers a unique blend of premium camping facilities on the beach along with a host of adventure, delectable cuisine, spa, nature trails , water sport activities, wholesome day itineraries and cultural evenings, nature trails and cultural evenings.
Puri Collector Singh said “We are bringing more value addition to the Eco Retreat Festival at Ramachandi this time. We need cooperation from one and all to make the event a grand success. I am quite sure that the event will certainly help to revive our livelihood and economy, which has been hit hard by Covid-19.”
