The High Court scheduled the next date of hearing on the same day, while hearing a petition in the afternoon. The court has directed the probing agency to submit an updated status report without fail.
Bidyashree, Dash’s wife, and her in-laws had earlier moved the High Court alleging about the tardy pace of investigation being carried out by the state probing agency.
The petitioner had urged the court to order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Dash’s mysterious death. The court had asked the state Crime Branch to submit a detailed status report on its investigation, within a stipulated time of one month.
Notably, July 7, Aditya’s body was found along the railway tracks near Lingaraj Railway Station in Bhubaneswar. July 30, the Director General of Odisha Police ordered the Crime Branch to take over the investigation.
