Bhubaneswar: Odisha Thursday reported 1,385 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total tally in the state to 2,97,274 .
Out of the new positive cases, 798 persons were in quarantine while the remaining contracted the disease locally.
The death toll in Odisha rose to 1,378 with 14 new fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Most of these COVID-19 patients were suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other complications.
District Wise Breakdown: In the last 24 hours Angul district recorded 88 fresh COVID-19 cases. Similarly Balasore reported 36, Bargarh 55, Bhadrak 31, Bolangir 77, Boudh 4, Cuttack 109, Deogarh 8, Dhenkanal 33, Gajapati 3, Ganjam 23, Jagatsinghpur 50, Jajpur 23, Jharsuguda 29, Kalahandi 50, Kandhamal 11, Kendrapada 42, Keonjhar 57, Khurda 159, Koraput 28, Malkangiri 23, Mayurbhanj 103, Nabarangpur 21, Nayagarh 32, Nuapada 88, Puri 35, Rayagada 10, Sambalpur 30, Sonepur 5, Sundargarh 91 and state pool 31.
The current number of active cases in Odisha stands at 13,770.
