Thousands of devotees throng Sakhigopal temple on the eve of ‘Anla Nabami’ to worship at Radha’s feet. Viewing Radha’s feet on this auspicious day, as it is believed, brings great fortune to the devotees.
In fact, the idol of Radha is covered with saree and other decorations throughout the year, making her feet invisible. But, on the occasion of ‘Anla Nabami’, her feet are made visible for devotees. This is the reason why the day is so special.
