In what could be the most expensively assembled cast of stars, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are all set to join hands for a YRF spy universe movie.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the success of the hugely successful Avengers franchise has hinted that fans love to see megastars sharing the same screen. Doing something in a similar vein, director Rohit Shetty built his mini cop universe with films like Singham, Simmba ad Sooryavanshi starring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar among other stars.
The success of Shetty’s experiment has made Aditya Chopra plan something similar in the future.
“Right now, Tiger (Salman Khan in Tiger franchise) would make a small appearance in Pathan and vice-versa. This would make the audiences familiar about the YRF Spy universe and that all these characters belong to the same world,” said a source, as quoted by Bollywood Hungama.
“Minimum Rs. 100 crore weekend opening is guaranteed! We really hope we get to see this film,” said a trade expert.
Meanwhile, SRK will make his big screen comeback with Pathan. Shah Rukh has reportedly started shooting for the film which is expected to hit the theatres by 2022.
Deepika will be seen in sports-drama ‘83 alongside husband Ranveer. Ranveer will play the role of former India skipper Kapil Dev while Deepika will essay the role of Kapil’s wife Romi.
