Bhubaneswar: Taking the tally in the state to 10,42,773, Odisha Thursday registered 351 new Covid-19 cases including 45 cases between the age group of 0-18 years in the last 24 hours.
The active caseload in the state now stands at 3,931 while it was 4,000 November 3. Out of the 351 new infections, 207 were reported from quarantine centres while 144 persons contracted the virus locally.
Worth mentioning, the number of positive cases reported November 3 and 2 were 322 and 327 respectively.
Odisha also reported four new fatalities in the last 24 hours taking the toll in the state to 8,347. Puri, Cuttack, Khurda (Bhubaneswar) and Angul districts reported one death each.
Khurda district registered the highest number of new cases with 181 persons testing positive for the disease. It was followed by Cuttack district with 35 new infections. Notably, Khurda and Cuttack districts had reported 169 and 19 new cases respectively November 3.
Other districts that reported fresh Covid-19 cases are: Jajpur (15), Balasore (13), Jagatsinghpur (10), Kendrapara (eight), Bhadrak, Puri and Nayagarh (six each), Sambalpur (five), Bolangir (four), Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh (three each), Nabarangpur, Koraput and Gajapati (two each), and Deogarh, Angul, Subarnapur, Nuapada, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda (one each).
The State Pool reported 44 new cases. These are persons who have come from outside Odisha and have tested positive. It was 39 November 3.
A total of 2,22,40,815 swab samples have been cumulatively tested so far. The number of recoveries in the last 24 hours stands at 416.
