Beguniapada: Authorities of a private school had to cancel their annual examination, Wednesday after miscreants strayed into the school premises at Kodala in Ganjam district and ransacked its building, late Tuesday night. The incident has been reported from Prima Public School at Kodala in Ganjam district, Wednesday.
The miscreants strayed into the school premises and broke the glass pane of windows and the amusement materials of the students. The incident has spread shockwaves in the area and drawn flak from various quarters. The matter came to light after the school opened for examinations, Wednesday. Shocked over the development, principal Amiya Kumar Das lodged a complaint at the Kodala police station, Wednesday. He also cancelled the annual examinations of the students studying from Class-I to VIII.
All the materials of the school were found lying scattered with the glass pane of all the windows broken. However, the equipment inside was found safe and untouched as the miscreants failed to break open the lock. Locals have called for immediate arrest of the miscreants and stringent action against them.
