Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Saturday issued Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha for next two days.
Till 8.30 AM of March 26: IMD issued Yellow Warning (be updated) for four districts such as Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Mayurbhanj. Thunderstorms and lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over these four districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, and Nabarangpur. Dry weather is likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
From 8.30 AM of March 26 to 8.30 AM of March 27: Yellow Warning has been issued over several districts of the state.
According to the Yellow Warning advisory, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, and Khurda.
The weather agency also forecasted the possibility of hailstorms at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Ganjam, and Gajapati. Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and at one or two places over the remaining districts of the state, IMD forecasted.
