Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Wednesday issued Yellow and Orange Warnings for several districts of Odisha for the next three days.
Upto 8.30 AM of March 30: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of the state.
The weather agency issued a Yellow Warning (be updated) for the Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Kandhamal districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
Dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha, IMD predicted.
From 8.30 AM of March 30 to 8.30 AM of March 31: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of the state.
The weather agency issued a Yellow Warning (be updated) for the districts of Nuapada, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore.
From 8.30 AM of March 31 to 8.30 AM of April 1: IMD has issued an Orange Warning for several districts of Odisha.
The weather agency predicts thunderstorms with lightning and hailstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Kendrapara. Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, and Dhenkanal.
In the same timeframe, IMD has issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Deogarh, and Boudh. Thunderstorm with lightning is expected over the remaining districts of Odisha.
The regional weather agency predicted no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the next two days and the mercury may fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the subsequent three days at many places over the districts of Odisha.
