Bargarh: A 5-member team of Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) visited Odisha’s Bargarh district and questioned one person in connection with the presence of gangster Guddu Muslim in the state, said a source Friday.
Guddu Muslim — a close aide of slain Uttar Pradesh gangster Atiq Ahmed – is absconding since Ahmed and his brother Ashraf’s murder.
Bargarh SP Prahlad Sahai Meena said that the five-member team visited Bargarh April 18. The team stayed in Bargarh for two days and questioned one person at Bhatli in Bargarh district in connection with Guddu Muslim, Meena added.
Northern Range IG Deepak Kumar also confirmed the visit of UP STF team.
The interrogated person reportedly has links with the driver of gangster Guddu.
The UP STF had also been to Nashik in Maharashtra earlier this month in search of Guddu after receiving information about him hiding there. His latest location is believed to be in Odisha, according to STF officials.
