Cuttack: Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud Friday arrived in Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar.
Justice Chandrachud is on a two-day visit to Odisha, a source said.
The source added that after reaching Bhubaneswar airport Friday he will visit the 12th-century shrine in Puri.
After that, he will attend the national conference on ‘Digitisation, Paperless Courts & E-initiatives’ scheduled to be held at the Cuttack Judicial Academy Monday, added the source.
It is learnt that judges from different high courts of the country will also join the meeting.
Worth mentioning, CJI Chandrachud had inaugurated 10 virtual high courts at as many districts of Odisha through a videoconference from Delhi February 4, 2023.
The virtual courts were inaugurated in Balasore, Ganjam’s Berhampur, Bhadrak, Kalahandi’s Bhawanipatna, Khurda’s Bhubaneswar, Bolangir, Koraput’s Jeypore, Puri, Sundargarh’s Rourkela and Sambalpur.
