Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out Monday in a multi-complex in Sahid Nagar area of Bhubaneswar.
According to a source, the firefighters rescued as many as four persons trapped in a spa. The spa used to operate on the second floor of the complex.
Some people noticed smoke billowing from the complex Monday and informed the Fire service department. A team of Fire services reached the spot and a rescue operation was initiated.
A firefighter engaged in the rescue operation said, “We rescued four persons from the second floor of the building. All four suffered no injury. We need more time to rescue as there is only one entrance.”

Notably, the multi-complex comprises four floors. A bar was there on the first floor, a spa on the second, and business centers were functional on the third and fourth floors.
An official from the Fire services informed that the trapped persons have been rescued safely. When asked about the cause of the mishap, the official said that it is too early to suspect the cause.
The firefighters were trying to douse the flames at the time of filing this report.
