Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert June 26 issued various warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8:30 AM of June 27: As per the Orange Warning (be updated), heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and at one or two places over Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Angul, Subarnapur, Deogarh and Keonjhar districts.
The weather agency also flagged a Yellow Warning which forecasted heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the state.
From 8:30 AM of June 27 to 8:30 AM of June 28: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts, the IMD bulletin stated.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur in most places over the districts of north Odisha and at many places over the districts of south Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 30 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 33.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Balasore while the lowest minimum temperature of 17.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Nuapada, the bulletin informed.
