Koraput: Just a few days after Andhra Pradesh officials allegedly removed signboards near the main reservoir of the Machkund Hydroelectric Project in Jalaput area of Koraput district, one of the boards were reinstalled in that area, a source said Friday.
The source, who is a local resident, added that the board was installed for security purposes of the dam and that the decision was taken by the district administration.
Notably, Andhra Pradesh officials had earlier removed the signboards put up by the Koraput Collector and the authorities of Machkund Hydroelectric Project in the area. Moreover, officials also took down a welcome signboard that had been placed close to the dam.

Nandapur BDO and Tehsildar had visited the spot after the signboards were removed by Andhra Pradesh officials, the source said.
Pottangi MLA Pritam Padhi, who visited the spot, said that the Odisha government has executed a multitude of development initiatives in these areas, and the actions of the Andhra Pradesh government are driven by jealousy.
Padhi asserted that the neighbouring state would bear responsibility for any potential disturbances in law and order due to their actions.
