Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert of August 15 issued a Yellow Warning for thunderstom and heavy rainfall over several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of August 16: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal and Ganjam districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north interior Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and at a few places over the rest districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of August 16 to 8.30 AM of August 17: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul and Sambalpur districts.
According to the weather agency, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south Odisha.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a generally cloudy sky with light rain is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 34.9 degree Celsius was recorded at Paralakhemundi while the lowest minimum temperature of 21.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Angul, the bulletin informed.
