Bhubaneswar: To clear additional rush of passengers during the winter months, Railways will run three pairs of winter special trains under the jurisdiction of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
The new trains are Puri-Rourkela-Puri Special (via Bhadrak and Tata), Puri-Santragachhi-Puri Special Fare Train and Visakhapatnam-Tata-Visakhapatnam Special Fare Train.
From December 7 to January 11, 2017, the Puri-Rourkela Special (08410) train will leave Puri at 5:30pm every Wednesday and reach Rourkela at 6am the next day. In the return direction, the Rourkela-Puri Special (08049) train will leave Rourkela at 10pm every Thursday and arrive at Puri at 10:45am on the following day from December 8 to January 12, 2017. This train will have stops at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Tata and Chakradharpur.
Similarly, Santragachhi-Puri Special Fare train (02809) will leave Santragachhi at 7pm every Thursday and reach Puri at 3:20am on Friday from December 8 to January 26, 2017. In the return direction, Puri-Santragachhi Special Fare train (02810) will leave Puri at 1:30pm every Friday and reach Santragachhi at 10:15pm on the same day from December 9 to January 27, 2017.
This train will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kharagpur between Puri and Santragachhi.
Tata-Visakhapatnam Special Fare train (08189) will leave Tata at 1pm every Friday and reach Visakhapatnam at 5:25am on Saturdays from December 2 to January 27, 2017. In the return direction, Visakhapatnam-Tata Special Fare train (08190) will leave Visakhapatnam at 5:45pm every Saturday and reach Tata at 10:45am on Sundays from December 3 to January 28, 2017. The stops are Rajkharsuan, Chaibasa, Dongoaposi, Bansapani, Nayagarh, Kendujhargarh, Harichandanpur, Sukinda Road, Jakhapura, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram.
