Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police Sunday arrested five members of a robber gang for their alleged involvement in a robbery at Nandan Vihar in Bhubaneswar, said a source.
Police have seized cash amounting to Rs 1.02 crore, gold ornaments, a country-made pistol and other weapons from their possession, the source added.
The source said that the gang members barged into a house August 2 impersonating as CBI officers in Nandan Vihar. They looted Rs 2 crore in cash and gold ornaments from the house.
A senior Police official said efforts are on to arrest the four other accused involved in the crime.
