Both Toms have been outstanding in performing their respective Marvel characters on the big screen and entertaining Marvel fans across the globe, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, and Tom Hardy as Spider-Man’s nemesis Venom. While Tom Holland, who debuted as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, his British compatriot Tom Hardy first appeared as Venom later in 2018. Now, both being integral parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans wish to see both actors together in a crossover in either of their respective upcoming movies.
Though there is no news from Sony on whether the actors will ever share screen or not, the actors however are in the news because of the difference in their salaries for the roles they played in their respective franchises.
Tom Holland and Tom Hardy’s Massive Salary Difference
There is no doubt that Holland’s Spider-Man franchise is by far one of the highest-earning movies of all time, with a whopping gross collection of $4 billion worldwide. His performance as Spider-Man not only helped Holland earn multiple other gigs but also led him to become an important part of the Avengers franchise.
Though the Spider-Man franchise was a huge success at the box office, Holland was only paid around $10 million for the best of the lot, Spider-Man: No Way Home which made $1.916 billion worldwide. On contrary, Holland’s potential on-screen nemesis Venom aka Tom Hardy is rumoured to get paid over $20 million for the third installment of his Venom franchise.
Despite his franchise only having a gross earning of over $1.36 billion, his massive paycheck seems too much. But there is also the fact that Hardy not only plays Eddie Brock but he is also the voice actor behind Venom on top of co-producing the threequel. Even though it does seem unfair for Holland, the Spider-Man star also makes a lot of money for the extra work he does as the web-shooter.
Despite Venom franchise only managing to earn a little over 1.3 billion worldwide, Hardy’s ‘pay raise’ has come as a surprise to many. It is however a fact that Hardy not only plays the role of Eddie Brock in the movies but also dubs the voice for Venom and also among the co-producers of the threequal. It may seem unfair on Holland but the actor makes loads of money for playing his role in MCU movies.

There is no official confirmation from Sony on the two characters coming together in their respective sequels and currently, both movies are still in their development stage.
