Poha is often considered one of India’s most popular dishes. Be it on an ordinary day, or a festive occasion, poha is a dish that always makes the list. It’s light, tasty, easy to make, and can be made with very limited resources. But, a recent post on poha by an ‘X’ user has sparked outrage among netizens. The user called ‘poha’ to be the ‘worst’ ever sparking ourtage. The post instantly went viral, leaving social media divided into two halves getting all kind of responses from people.
The controversy started after an ‘X’ user named @ayushii5k shared an image of Poha and captioned, “Honestly, this is the absolute worst food I’ve ever encountered.”

As expected, the statement spiked a large number of Poha admirers who love the delicious dish, which usually consists of steamed flattened rice mixed with fired chopped onion, chili, roasted peanut, mustard seeds as filler, and turmeric for colour and flavor.
As counter, Poha lovers expressed their views. One such user asked, “I don’t understand the hate. it’s super healthy, fills you up, is cheap, quick to make, and barely leaves you with acidity or anything else. poha is top tier.” Another user said, “Time to upgrade your taste buds.” Someone questioned, “How can somebody HATE POHHAAAAAAA,” upholding the sentiment of Poha lovers online.
Surprisingly, there were a few users who came in support of the post against Poha, with a user saying, “I’m so glad someone actually said this. I absolutely despise of Poha.” Another user commented, “Feel yaa being a delhite staying at Indore.”
