Oriya film ‘Tu Mo Hero’s’ title track is the most popular Oriya film track in recent times. “For the first time Jhilik has been widely explored in the film,” intimated director Dilip S Panda.
The plot of the film runs like this: Lata and Sambhu get introduced at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar. The couple has adopted Prem, Sambhu’s sister’s son. Prem helps Sambhu in his profession, who pulls a trolley. Prem has some wayward friends of which Rock is the richest. He helps Rock to search a girlfriend in different colleges but in vain. One day the two friends come across Khushi, daughter of State Bank manager Abhijit. They wait for her still she returns from college. Prem is the most stylish among the boys which makes Khushi fall in love with him. The friends fight with each other and later travel down their respective paths in life. Subsequently a proposal from a rich builder’s family comes for Khushi. Her father is happy but Khusi reveals her love, although she has to give nod to her father’s wish gets married. Prem tries to commit suicide. After being rescued he goes to his uncle’s place. Later on he drives an auto for survival. Later they are blessed with a child.
‘Tu Mo Hero’ casts Bikash Das, Jaya Biswas, Guddu, Kalia, Soumya, Bulu, Mihir Das, Pratibha Sahu, Jeevan Panda, Dev Sethy, Chakradhar Jena, Rajani Ranjan, Rock Patra and master Suhana, besides the lead pair Jyoti and Jhilik.
The music director of the film, Baidyanath Das says:?“The melody of the film is enchanting. In fact the rhythm and tunes are of a different kind with which I have never before experimented. The title track is a peppy number which would surely appeal to the audience. Credit goes to lyricist Nirmal Nayak who helped me create the wonderful track. I am happy that the number has already become a chartbuster.”
Panda says:?“Actor Jhilik has been explored widely in this film and her potential has come out properly. In the roles of the daughter of a rich man and the lover and later wife of a poor lad, she shines as an actor in the film.” Apart from the throbbing songs of the film, the dramatic element of the flick is also noteworthy,”?adds the director.
