Chennai: Double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman offered tickets of his latest Tamil outing “I” to a group of Apollo Hospital doctors and their families here as a token of gratitude for treating his mother when she was seriously ill. “Rahman believes it was these doctors who brought his mother back to him when she was hospitalised. In return for their care and treatment for his mother, Rahman booked tickets to ‘I’ in bulk and gave them away to the doctors and their families,” a source close to Rahman told IANS. Rahman composed tunes for “I”, which released Wednesday and has been running to packed houses despite mixed reviews.
