A village where everyone, including animals are blind

There is a village where people have eyes but no vision. Tilatak is the village located in Canada’s Ontario province. The village is basically inhabited by Joptech tribe. They are originally Red Indians migrated from North America.

The strangest fact about the village is that birds and animals are also blind here. Birds cannot be seen flying here. If they fly, chance of collision between them is high.

The children here are not born blind. But as days passed by, they gradually start losing their vision.

As they are all blind, their houses, huts basically, have no windows and doors.

In evenings, they usually gather at a place where they enjoy their food together and in the nights they drink alcohol and make merrymaking by singing and dancing.

The villagers blame an indigenous tree named ‘Lavujueja’ for their blindness. But visitors don’t feel so.

According to some scientists, a kind of black fly is villain of the place. These flies are so poisonous that after their biting the poison spreads all through the body of victims, affecting their vision adversely. Hence, they and other birds and animals gradually lose their vision.
