Bhubaneswar: Aarohi Ajita, the first woman music director, has shattered many online records as ‘Supid Love’, her latest music video, crossed one lakh viewership within 24 hours of its release. Orissa POST interacted with this talented music director at her studio to learn about her future plans and how she manages to churn out hit numbers so effortlessly.
Who coined the title ‘Stupid Love’?
The tile for ‘’ is the brainchild of actor Mukesh.
How did the project come to you?
The director, producer and actor of the music video approached me to direct the project. Kichi Kichi Aasha was my idea and it was liked by them. The rest is history.
The song has touched on lakh viewership within 24 hours of its appearance on social media. How does it feel?
It feels great to be successful, but the entire success goes to my fans, fans of Mukesh and actress Swati Singh. Above all, it’s the elders’ blessings that have made it such a huge success. I would also like to thank video director Prasana Kumar (Panchubhai), actor Mukesh, actress Swati Singh, singer RS Kumar and the entire cast and crew associated with the project.
What is the video all about?
The story narrates how two lovers split and how they are devastated following a simple misunderstanding. Well, you have to watch the music video to know more about it.
What kind of music have you composed for this video?
This music video has only one song, which presents a blend of happiness and gloom.
What are your forthcoming projects?
Jani Jaanire is currently under production under my own banner A Series. Aside from Bishnumohan Kabi, who has sung one song, I have sung two tracks in this album. The lyrics were penned by Swapnarani Sahoo.
Has the success of ‘Stupid Love’ changed your standing in the Odia music industry?
Definitely, after a lot of hard work I have achieved people’s appreciation and adulation. Today, I see myself among the top ten music directors in Odia music and movie industry.
Who would you like to work in future?
I desire to work with top directors like Sudhanshu Sahu, Ashok Pati and Susanta Mani.
