Letting go of past squabbles and overcoming pettiness is hugely rewarding. Perhaps that is something Hindi film actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi had in mind as the two hugged each other at an event recently.
The two were at a felicitation ceremony in honour of ace badminton star PV Sindhu who won the BWF World championship a few days ago.
Abhishek and Vivek, when crossed each other’s paths on the red carpet, stopped to smile and hug each other like gentlemen.
For those who are confused, Vivek was once in love with Aishwarya Rai who is married to Abhishek. The latter also went on to greet Vivek’s wife, Priyanka, and his father, the veteran Hindi film actor Suresh Oberoi.
There were rumours of bad blood brewing between the Bachchans and Oberois after Vivek shared a distasteful meme on social media targeted at Aishwarya’s personal life back in May. After facing a tsunami of backlash, Vivek proceeded to delete the post. This was reportedly the first encounter between Abhishek and Vivek since that incident and it seems like both of them have buried the hatchet.
