Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Wednesday called upon the newly recruited welfare extension officers (WEOs) in ST & SC Development department to act as agents of change.
Addressing the induction programme of the WEOs here, Patnaik said, “You should not consider yourself as a government employee; rather you must consider yourself as agents of change, and you are there to bring about perceptible changes in the lives of people you are working for.”
Expecting complete dedication from the new recruits, the Chief Minister reminded them of the 5Ts (Transparency, Technology, Teamwork, Transformation and Time) mantra of his government and said, “You must be aware of the 5T mantra which we are following for the transformation of the state. You should follow and make this mantra a cardinal principle in your life.”
The Chief Minister gave away appointment letters to 106 young boys and girls who have been selected for the post of WEOs in ST & SC Development, Minority & Backward Class Welfare department through the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
